Credit Union of Colorado
SMS Terms of Service Agreement
Credit Union of Colorado offers SMS (Short Messaging Service) alerts for various mobile and online banking activities. As a member, you can opt into receiving SMS alerts for activities such as login notifications, transactions exceeding a specified limit, balance and transfer alerts, and one-time passcodes.
Your use of our SMS service signifies your agreement to the terms and conditions within this agreement. This agreement is contingent on you providing us with a valid mobile phone number and consent to receive messages through your wireless provider. We may send SMS communications, either directly or via a third-party agent or authorized service provider, through your communication service provider to deliver them to you. You agree that your communication service provider is acting as your agent in this capacity. We reserve the right to determine what information is made available through this service. When you opt-in to SMS, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from our service provider. If you provided consent by selecting the text option, the SMS messages may contain one-time passcodes and account alerts. Once you opt-in, Credit Union of Colorado will send an SMS message to confirm that you own or are authorized to provide the telephone number that you used to opt-in. Your consent to receive SMS and any actions you reply with can used an electronic record to document your consent. Members may receive a text as part of our authentication process and will involve one message per request. The carriers bear no responsibility for any delays or failure in message delivery.
Please note that SMS is provided for your convenience and does not replace your monthly account statement(s), which are the official record of your accounts. This service may not be encrypted and may include personal or confidential information about you or your account, such as your account activity or status. You agree to protect your communication devices that receive information through this service and not to let any unauthorized person have access to the information we provide to you through this service.
Receipt of account information through SMS may be delayed or impacted by factors relating to your communication service provider or other parties. No separate fee is charged for this service, but you are responsible for all charges, including fees applicable to your account(s) and fees associated with SMS messaging imposed by your communication service provider. Message frequency varies, and by participating in the SMS Program, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages. Credit Union of Colorado makes no warranty regarding availability or reliability of SMS and shall have no liability related to any delay or failure in the delivery or receipt of text messages.
You can cancel your subscription to our SMS service at any time by texting "STOP" to our short code. After texting "STOP", we will send you a confirmation message to verify your unsubscribe. To rejoin, sign up as you did initially, and we will resume sending messages to you.
The terms of other agreements with Credit Union of Colorado, including the Membership Agreement and Privacy Notice, may also apply to your use of our SMS service. We respect your privacy and do not share your personal information obtained from SMS communications, including opt-in data and consent with third parties. Please review our Privacy Notice for more information about how we handle your personal information and protect your privacy. We may change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice, except as required by law. Your continued use of SMS after the terms and conditions have changed constitutes your acceptance of the new terms and conditions. We advise you to review the terms and conditions regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes.
